An Approach As Unique As You

Dr. Alexa applies a proven approach that creates an individualized
path to your optimal health that's as unique as you.

1. Your Story

It all starts with your unique journey.  Dr. Alexa listens with a caring and attentive ear to your health history -- and also your habits, thoughts, and relationships that impacted you along the way.

2. Your Data

Laboratory work and specialized testing - including hormones, genetics, gut bacteria, food sensitivities, nutrient deficiencies - may be ordered to pin-point current health challenges in order to create a more precise plan.

3. Your Plan

Together, you'll co-create a plan that will help you achieve your optimal health.  While every plan is unique, it will include personalized supplements, nutrients, movement, and stress reduction practices.

4. Your Life

As your health shifts toward healing, so too does your treatment plan need further refinement. Regular check-ins ensure steady progress toward continued states of healing and optimal health.

Top Questions

Are you a primary care provider?

No. Dr. Alexa provides consultative services and recommendations.  For routine and urgent care, patients need to have a primary care provider.

What type of medicine do you practice?

I practice what I call Individualized Medicine, an individualized, patient-centered, and science based approach to healthcare that looks beyond symptom resolution to identify why illness occurs and address those root causes to restore health.  While conventional medicine focuses on using medication to reduce symptoms, my training in Naturopathic Medicine, Functional Medicine, and Integrative Medicine allows me to work with you to resolve the complex underlying causes of disease and promote optimal wellness through diet and lifestyle change.

Will my insurance pay for testing?

Sometimes.  Laboratory testing (blood work) is often covered by your health insurance plan.  Other tests - including food sensitivity, hormone, cortisol, heavy metal/toxin exposure, genetics - are less often covered by insurance.  If finances are a determining factor, it is recommended that you consult your insurance provider prior to testing.

Do you accept insurance?

No.  You will be provided with an encounter form to submit to your insurance as an out of network provider.  Payment is required at the time of visit.  You may use your HSA if desired.

What is your cancellation policy?

3 business days advanced noticed for cancelled appointments is required.

An entire session fee will be charged if you do not notify office within 3 business days.

Follow up labs are required to be drawn 2 or more weeks before your appointment.  If your labs are drawn less than 2 weeks you may need to reschedule.
